Boost your immunity with workouts

If you do not workout, your immune system will suffer.

People who exercise five days a week have fewer days with a cold and other seasonal diseases during winter than those who broke a sweat less often, according to a study from Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina.

It's because while exercising your body increases production of important germ-fighting cells called neutrophils. You should plan around three hours of moderate physical activity weekly like doing your favorite workout or walking.

But don't overdo it. After a threshold, your body perceives exercise as a stressor, and your immune system doesn't function well.
